As our Collection Merchandiser for the Shoes category, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the footwear assortment. This role requires a deep understanding of luxury fashion, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to drive innovation while maintaining the brand's identity. You will work closely with the design, product development, sales, marketing, and operations teams to create a cohesive and successful shoe collection that meets the needs of both direct-to-consumer (D2C) and business-to-business (B2B) channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assortment Strategy:
Develop and implement a long-term assortment strategy for the Shoes category, aligning with the brands product vision and catering to the unique requirements of D2C and B2B channels.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform strategic decision-making.
2. Collection Creation:
Lead the seasonal collection creation process for Shoes, working in close partnership with the design and product development teams.
Ensure the collection reflects the brand's DNA, resonates with target customers, and meets commercial objectives.
Own the range and the line plan and ensure they are constantly updated
3. Critical Path Management:
Own the critical path for the Shoes category, ensuring all key milestones and deadlines are met.
Schedule and coordinate all relevant meetings, ensuring appropriate stakeholders are involved and prepared.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling campaigns and product stories that enhance the visibility and desirability of the Shoes category.
Work with sales teams to gather feedback from wholesale partners and clients, ensuring their needs are reflected in the assortment.
Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments to achieve common goals.
Partner with operations to ensure smooth product delivery and availability across all channels.
5. Performance Analysis:
Monitor and analyze the performance of the Shoes category, identifying opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
